Extremity Conditions
Chiropractic assessment of shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles and feet β Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor), Centrepoint Chiropractic Clinic, Caboolture South.
Chiropractic Assessment of Joints Beyond the Spine
Chiropractic assessment is not limited to the spine. Joints throughout the body β including the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet β can develop the same types of restricted movement, dysfunction and pain as spinal joints. At Centrepoint Chiropractic Clinic, Shop 7, 25 Morayfield Road, Caboolture South β just south of Centenary Lakes β Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor) is trained and experienced in the assessment and adjustment of extremity joints.
If you are experiencing pain, stiffness or reduced movement in any joint of the body, call Judy on 07 5495 1763 to book an assessment with Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor). The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

A Whole-Body Approach to Joint Assessment
One of the important principles in chiropractic care is that the body functions as a connected system. Assessment of extremity joints is often included as part of a full body evaluation, because dysfunction in one area can influence mechanics elsewhere.
For example, altered foot and ankle mechanics can affect the way load is transmitted through the knees, hips and lower back. Shoulder dysfunction can contribute to neck and upper back tension. Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor) considers these relationships during assessment and management.
This means that patients presenting primarily with spinal complaints may also have relevant extremity findings assessed, and patients presenting with extremity conditions may benefit from spinal assessment as part of their overall evaluation.
Techniques Used for Extremity Conditions
Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor) draws on specific techniques that are well suited to extremity joint assessment and management. The technique selected depends on the joint involved and the individual patient's presentation and preferences.
Extremity Adjusting
The primary technique used for extremity joints. Dr David Chapman (Chiropractor) is trained and experienced in the assessment and adjustment of joints throughout the body beyond the spine, using both manual and instrument-assisted approaches.
Activator Method
The Activator Adjusting Instrument delivers a precise, low-force impulse to specific joints. This is particularly well suited to smaller joints such as wrists, hands, ankles and feet, where a gentle and targeted approach is needed.
Trigenics
A neuromuscular assessment and treatment system that works on the communication pathways between the brain and muscles. Trigenics can be particularly valuable for extremity conditions involving muscle dysfunction and repetitive strain.
